It's a SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dad's 60th surprise party was on Saturday night. He was so surprised. He didn't have a clue. It was so much fun. We had food, drinks (I of course, didn't get to have any), and dancing. The kids had a blast! Aidan ran up to his Pa Pa and yelled surprise! (IT WAS HIS FIRST SURPRISE PARTY!) The best part of all was seeing my dad so surprised! We hid out at Beth's all day until the party! Mom was worried because of the weather but everyone showed up! It was such a great night! I know my mom and dad had a blast and we did too. The kids didn't go to bed until midnight! We were all exhausted the next day but it was well worth it! Everything went perfect!

Making the most of our MLK, Jr. Holiday!

Matt had to work today so I decided I wanted to do something fun with the kids. We headed to the Museum of Transportation. I wanted to take the kids to Creation Station. When we got there it was sold out. (I couldn't believe it!) So, we had about 2 hours to burn before we could go in for the next visit. We climbed and played on all the trains. I think the kids were so happy to be outside where they could yell and run around. They enjoyed it so much more this time. Aidan was really into the trains. He was pretending to drive the train like his Pa Pa! Then, we went to Creation Station which was so neat. The kids really enjoyed it. They played and had a great time. We were at the museum for 3 hours. It was a great way to spend my day off!

Aidan and Lily play store.
Lily is on the ship! "ALL ABOARD!"

Aidan is hangimg out on the ship.

The kids playing!

Engineer Aidan is driving like his Pa Pa!

"Choo! choo!!!"

SO Glad to be off work!

We spent the weekend playing and hanging out. Aidan tried out his skating skills and skateboarding skills. He is determined to skate. If I know him, he will be skating before we know it. Tinker was a big help and also decided to take her Ariel bike for a ride. She wants to pedal so bad. I think she will be big enough by summer. It is days like this that I am so glad we have a heated garage!

SO Glad to be off work!

A fun filled weekend!

On Saturday morning we met Caleb and Kelly for some Sesame Street Live! fun! The boys had a good time. They liked the show but I really think they had fun just hanging out. As we were leaving Aidan said, "Bye Caleb, I love you." So sweet. It is so cute to watch them together. It works out nice because Kelly is one of my good friends! It was a great start to our weekend!

Tinker and mommy warm up in the garage!

Aidan gives the "thumbs up". He has this sled thing down pat!

" I can do it by myself!"

SOOOOOOOO cute! Tinker is so brave!

Aidan is ready to go!

"Just give me a push dad!"

Daddy and Lily on their first slide!

Ready to go sledding!
On Sunday, the Kirkpatrick's came over for some sledding fun! OMG...Aidan and Lily looked so cute. Matt braved the cold weather and took them both sledding. Lily looked adorable in Aidan's old snow suit and Aidan sported his new snow pants. The kids had so much fun. I think Matt had as much fun as the kids. Aidan would go down the hill in the back yard and would slide all the way to across the yard and bump the fence. He thought it was hilarious. Tinker wanted to go down by herself. She did great except she refused to get up. She would wait for Matt to come and get her. It was hilarious. I was so happy they got to play in the snow.

A GREAT IDEA!!!!!

Well, since I couldn't take the kids sledding I decided to bring the snow to them. I must admit it was one of the best ideas that I've had in a long time. Aidan and Tinker LOVED it!!! They thought it was the neatest thing. They stirred and shoveled and and even made snowballs! Aidan liked to make snowballs and scoop and dump the snow. Tinker...well...she liked to stir it and EAT it! It was a fun afternoon!

SNOW DAY!!!

Cooking in the kitchen! Lily had an apron so Aidan need an apron too!

Wirting on the wall!

Aren't they the cutest kids?????

We had a snow day yesterday and so that meant no school! Aidan, Lily, and I were staying in and trying to keep warm. Matt got called out on a shooting so it was just us 3. The kids wanted to go sledding so bad but I knew there was no way I could carry them up and down the hill being pregnant. I feel like my belly gets bigger and bigger every day! 2 kids, plus 2 sleds, plus being pregnant, plus my clumsiness.....it just didn't seem like a good idea. Not even for me...and I am usually up for anything. So, we stayed indoors. We got out the bathtub markers and did some painting and playing in the tub. The kids loved it! We had a good day. I was worn out by the end. We literally played in our living room all day long.
Parkway was called off today but Aidan had school. I think he was ready to go play and get out of the house. Matt promised he would take the kids out over the weekend to play in the snow! Tomorrow we are going to see Sesame Street Live with Caleb. (Caleb is Aidan's best friend!) It should be lots of fun!
