Update
I haven't been blogging lately due to the mess in Ferguson. However, I am going to attempt to start it back up again.
WOW.....
Aidan played in a baseball tournament recently at Chesterfield. The other team was stacked. Orlando Pace, Jim Edmonds, and Matt Holliday's kids were all on the team. It was sooo cool! We lost but our boys were so excited to see Matt Holliday. He signed a baseball for Aidan and posed for a pic. He was so nice to all the kids. He literally talked to them and stood there until every boy was done! It was awesome! My mom and dad were up and we were all so excited! I mean...C'mon-don't they both look so cute!!!!!
Spiderman
We went to a birthday party and SPIDERMAN showed up!!!! Anabelle was so excited. (Remember she was Spiderman last year for Halloween!) She still loves Peter Parker! She was so excited to see him! She ran up to me and said, "mom...is this my surprise." She thought it was for her!!!! In the last picture she is crying because he had to leave......It was so cute!
Anabelle and Halo
Anabelle loves Halo. (Our neighbor's dog!) She loves her so much that she takes her on a walk almost daily! She holds her and pets her! She just can't get enough of her.
Rascals Game
Aidan's baseball team went to a Rascals game! It was pretty awesome because they got their names announced and got to go out on the field during the National Anthem!
Anabelle Goes to Pre-K
The two older kids were so proud of Anabelle for going to Pre-K! Anabelle was so funny! Her backpack was as big as she is!!!! We have a big girl in our house!!!!

Camping at Jack's Fork
We met Betha nd Byron for our annual camping trip! This year we went on a canoe float with the kids! They did amazing! We didn't tip....I was so happy! Aidan did a great job kayaking by himself down the river! The kids just love floating! It was a blast. Lots of river fun!!!! I was nervous because I didn't know how they would do in a canoe but it was really fun! The kids occupied themselves by playing in the river and jumping off of rocks!!! They fished for tadpoles and minnows. At night, we would BBQ and have a fire!!!! It goes by sooo fast! Thanks Beth and Byron for letting us stay with you in your camper. We had so much fun! Already looking forward to next year!!!!

What's Your Pick?
What's your pick? This phrase was heard a lot around our house this summer. This year we added Aidan's pick, Lily's pick and Anabelle's pick to the summer fun list!
Anabelle chose swimming!!! We went to Chesterfield Family Aquatic Center (It might just be my new favorite pool!)
Lily chose Put Put Golf!!!

Nashville=10 years and Counting
Matt and I took a road trip to Nashville to celebrate our 10 year anniversary! We stayed 3 nights!!! Nana and Pop watched our kids for us! It was a little vacation for the kids too as they got to do all sorts of fun things!!!! On Thursday, we got in town and headed out to also celebrate Matt's birthday! On Friday, Beth and Byron drove down and we all hung out for the weekend! It was F.U.N.
Of course we went to Music Row and The District!!!! We stayed up until 3:30 two nights in a row. (Who do we think we are???) We ate a lot of good food (Demo's is the best Italian restaurant ever!!!!), drank a ton, and heard some live music. Matt and I are not crazy country fans but we did enjoy all the live bands night after night. The highlight was going to the world famous Tootsie's. We (me, Matt, Beth and Byron) sat VIP all night and sat next to the band!!! It was soo crazy! Taking a road trip with my hubby was the best! A great way to celebrate 10 years together! We are going to try and do it more often!!!!

{Farm: Summer 2014}
We spent a long weekend in July at the farm. The kids had a blast. We did a ton of fishing and swimming in the lake. We bought crickets this time and the fish just couldn't get enough. All 3 kids caught several fish and we had a blast!!!! Anabelle caught several but she caught one all on her own!!! Aidan has really gotten into fishing this summer!!!! I don't know how many hours he fished! However, Tinker is the bravest one and will bait her hook or get the fish off and toss it back in the water. (She of course gives it a kiss then a big toss....her daddy taught her that!) The kids love going to the farm and hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa! We hope to get down there at least one more time for some more fun!!!!

Random
It is hard to believe I go back to school next week. The good news is there are 18 elementary schools n my district and My school scored the highest on the MAP. That is a super great feeling and will make going back to work a little easier. I can't believe the summer is already coming to an end!!!! I have enjoyed my days of sleeping in, relaxing by the pool, and having drinks while my kids play outside. I have been trying to squeeze in some fun with the kids and take care of things for school at the same time.
Backpacks purchased - check
School Supplies- check
Uniforms- check
Still need to buy some shoes for all the kids but then we should be good!
I am not looking forward to the hecticness that the beginning of the school year brings. Early mornings, rushed dinners, homework, etc. This fall will be particularly challenging as I have 3 kids in soccer and Aidan is in Fall baseball too! Woooh---What was I thinking???? That is lots of games and lots of practices.
We still have a few things to look forward to though. Today I am taking the kids to Indian Creek. It is supposed to be super fun! Then August 8th-10th we leave to go on a Canoe trip with the kids. We are meeting Beth and Byron for one last trip out of town.

A Visit from Daddy...
Matt flew a helicopter all last week before vacation. He landed it on the baseball fields behind our house. All the neighborhood kids on the street came to the field to see the helicopter too! The kids thought it was so neat that their daddy was actually flying the helicopter!!!! (I thought Daddy looked pretty darn cute!!!)
