Quotes from the Kids....

Lily to Aidan: "You broke my feelings."

Aidan: I made this card for Grandma Jessie and Grandpa Frank.
Me: Well, remember Grandpa Frank is heaven now.
Aidan (lip quivering): Oh
Me: Grandma Jessie will like it though.
Aidan: I have an idea...I will make Grandpa Frank this card. Then we will put it under my pillow and the angels can come and get it and take it to him in heaven.
Me: Oh buddy...what a great idea.

Lily: I know what the Christmas Lights mean....Jesus's Heart!

Aidan: "Mom, I love our baby! I am glad we have our baby. Are we gonna have any more...maybe a boy baby?"
Me: NOPE!

WHat I am thinking about right now...

Well...I just realized I need to buy a few small things still to be 100% completely done with my Christmas shopping!
How can I keep the kids well?Aidan has been sick for about 2 days and now he still has a fever and said tonight that his throat hurts.
We have a house to clean before our holiday party this weekend.
How can I miss work...yet again. My kids just can't seem to stay well. But I probably need to try and get Aidan in to see the doctor...especially since we have a busy weekend planned!
Wishing I was done with school this week...like most people. I can't believe I have another 4 days left next week!
I just love getting Christmas cards in the mail and seeing pictures of our friends and family!
My dad retires soon and the whole family is going to go to a little celebration at his work when we are home!
I still can't believe Albert Puhols is not a Cardinal any more.
Aidan is doing so well in school...he is really becoming a reader and I am so proud.
Anabelle Devaney has become quite the climber. She climbs on everything and even though she is tiny...she is determined! She is also talking more and more lately. I love to hear her laugh...something about a baby laughing that just makes your day!
Lily...oh what can I say about my Lily....her personality is 1 in a million!
Thinking about my grandma and how this is her first Christmas without my grandpa.
Wondering if my kids will ever sleep through the night????????????? Now this has been on my mind for a LONG TIME!

Our FUN Around the Holidays!

Decorating the Christmas Tree
Making a Christmas construction paper chain and counting down the days until Christmas!
Making our very first Gingerbread House (I think we started a tradition...the kids loves it!)
Playing many games of "Hide the Pickle". Who knew you could have this much fun with an ornament!
Seeing Santa...on the list for this weekend!
Driving Through Tillis Park
Driving around and looking at lights
Our new Christmas Tree that dances and our new Alvin and the Chipmunk that dances...what joy these simple things brings to the kids....especially Anabelle!
Baking...we haven't done much of that yet..but it is on the to do list with the kids.
Watching all the Christmas shows on TV. Even Matt and I love watching Frosty and Rudolph with the kids!
Our first Holiday party at our house....

Christmas is such a busy time...but such a fun time!

Our Very First Gingerbread House!

Look Who likes to color....

Here is Anabelle Devaney who now not only likes to color and scribble but who also refuses to sit in her high chair and wants to sit at the kitchen table like her big brother and big sister!

{FUN}

This is how the girls at our house have some fun around the holidays...riding the wrapping paper.

Look who....

Look who got an award at school for learning to tie their shoe!

{ADORABLE}

OMG...We were on our way to get our pictures made and I had to snap a picture of these 2 darling girls!!!!! They look amazing! Can you be any cuter?

~Great Job~

Aidan's soccer team had a party last week to celebrate a great season! Aidan got a trophy and was very proud!

Now he is already wondering...."What am I going to do next mom?"

Traditions!

Nana and all the kids!

Hmmm...I think Anabelle Devaney is going to be very interested in the Christmas tree this year.
We have a tradition that the day after Thanksgiving we all go to my mom's house. We have a party! She has treats ans punch and all sorts of goodies! She gives the kids each a new pair of pajamas. They wear them while they decorate her Christmas tree downstairs! The kids do it all...from stringing the beads to hanging the ornaments. Each year they break a few but it is sooo cute! They love it and look forward to it every year.

Ella and Lily especially enjoyed the treats! Aidan is holding Belle and they look so cute!

~CUTE~

Aidan and his best buddy Caleb pose with Caleb's sister's...it was just too cute!

~The Birthay Bash~

Lily was very excited that Nana took her to dance the morning of her party! She couldn't wait to open her present from Nana and Pa Pa.

Lily was sooo cute and sooo excited! I forgot what big deal a birthday is to a four year old!
It was a Hello Kitty birthday bash! The weather was perfect. The kids played outside and had so much fun! Lily got some great presents and got to see all of her friends! We celebrated Lily's special day and it was just perfect!
The cookie cake looked a lot better than it tasted! But...it was cute!

~Here is the Situation~

Obviously I am a bit behind in my blogging. Things have been so busy! I am going to attempt to pay catch up!

Lily Claire is 4!

November 18th is Lily's actual birthday! It started with a new headband and a new Hello Kitty dress to wear to school. She brought cupcakes for all of her class to enjoy. At noon, I picked her up and we headed to the mall. We had lunch at Chick-Fil-A. Then, I had a surprise...we were going to Sweet and Sassy. It is a salon for little girls! She got her hair done, nails and toes painted and she even got to wear a little make up! She loved it. Later that night, we went out to dinner. My parents were up because Aidan had a Grandparents Day at school so it was a great day had by all! I can't believe she is 4! It seems like that just is NOT possible!
Lunch

Getting her hair done!
Nails done!
Look at my pretty princess! What a fun day! I always try and do something special with the kids on their birthday. This was a big hit!

~Just Because~

I walked in the bathroom and this is what I saw....Tinker responded,"Mommy, look what I found. Now I won't get spit or water on my face!" I just had to laugh! I am so grateful for Tinker...she marches to her own drum and I just love it!
