ZOO!!!!

This is why we had so much at the zoo this weekend....
1. We didn't have to search for a parking spot. Got there, pulled in and parked. It was sooo easy! Sometimes things DO work out!
2. We actually got to park in the parking lot at the zoo!
3. The weather was beautiful!
4. We saw everything we ever wanted to see...we literally saw it all. Normally we pick and choose... but this time...we packed it all in.
5. Zoo strollers
6. We were there with our cousins!
7. The animals were all out because the weather was so nice!
8. Even though one of the kids had a melt down here and there with no naps....everything is not-so-bad when you don't have to mess with parking, crowds, or driving around. While we still had a few kinks....everything just seemed great and we were just happy to be there and be together! It was a fun day!

Good Job buddy!
The soccer season is coming to an end. We have only 2 games left. Aidan has really enjoyed it! HE has become an awesome defender! Here are some pics that I have taken throughout the season! We are so proud of him!

[Pumkin Patch]

We got our pumpkin and Aidan was helping the girls back to the car.

Lots of fun!
They had a huge maze that you could go through! Aidan loved it! Matt helped Lily get to the top!
Look at my sweet girl! She looks so big and so darn cute in her Puma sweatsuit! She loved to sit on the big pumpkins and then she would kiss them. It was hilarious!

I just love October and all the family fun it brings. This weekend we headed to Theis Farm and Pumkinland! It is so close to our house and the kids love it! The kids played in pumpkinland and then we picked out our pumpkin! It was a great day! I see some pumpkin carving in our future!

~Quotes from the kids~

1. (As I was braiding Lily's hair)
Lily: Hey mommy, one day when I become a mommy will I braid hair too...like you?
Me: Yep...I will teach you.
Lily: Wait...I am going to be a mommy?
Me: Well, one day.
Lily: Oh boy...I am going to be a mommy and I will braid hair...maybe my baby will be 5.
Me: Laughing....oh Lily--you are too funny.

2. (As I was giving Aidan a bath)
Aidan: Hey mom, can I tell you something.
Me: Sure buddy
Aidan: You remember yesterday.
Me: Yes
Aidan: Well yesterday, and then another yesterday and then the other yesterday....
Me: So are we talking like 3 days ago
Aidan: No there was yesterday, and then the yesterday before that, and then another yesterday...
Me: (laughing) Ok...just get on with your story!

3. (As I was driving the kids to school)
Aidan: Are roosters real?
Me: Roosters, yes they are real...kind of like chickens.
Lily: Ohhh, I like chicken!
Me: Well, it is like the male version of a chicken...a rooster is male.
Lily: Ok...get it Aidan...the rooster is the mailman. I guess he's the mailman for the chickens.
(At this point I am laughing so hard listening to these too!)
Aidan to Lily: Ohhh, I get it now....

It is amazing all the funny things that the kids come up with! I just have to get better at writing them down!

The Whole Family

The whole Steinmetz family...October 2011.

~Our Family of Five~

{Pics}

Anabelle and her mama on the tractor!

All the kids were dressed in Halloween attire....it was sooo cute!
Anabelle just couldn't get enough apples.....
Tinker just looks so darn cute!

More Fun at Eckert's!!!

So sweet!

Riding the ponies was just another bit of fun we had....the kids loved it!

~APPLE PICKING~ OCTOBER 2011

We headed to Eckert's in Grafton for Apple Picking! I LOVE apple picking...it was the one tradition I wanted to start with my own family once I had Aidan. I think it is because there was an orchard at home and we always went to it every fall...we would play in the hay maze, drink cider and pick out pumpkins. Now that I have my own kids...it is just one of those special things that I enjoy sooo much! I think I enjoy it as much as the kids!

Aidan and LIly were so cute...they took this apple picking very seriously....we ended up buying $26.00 in apples....now that is a lot of apples.

Now, Anabelle Devaney enjoyed picking apples for the first time (and eating an apple---not sliced but in a ball.) She wanted to hold 2...then she would walk around and point up at the tree and yell....Matt would then lift her up to grab another one.

Lily Claire liked eating the apples as much as she liked picking them. I swear every time I turned around she had another apple in her mouth. That's my TINKER!

Aidan was all about apple picking this year. He was a boy on a mission to get the best apples and the most apples. He was taking his job very seriously!

Miller-Steinmetz Fun

The kids were so excited to get together with their buddy Caleb! Since school has started Aidan has not gotten to play with Caleb and I hadn't gotten to play with Kelly either. It was a fun night had by all. The kids played and we hung out by a fire...had some laughs and some drinks...Good times!

Anabelle not only said "Baby" for the first time last weekend but she also wanted to love on Olivia. She was definitely intrigued by the babies....it was so cute to watch her interact with them! Even more...she wanted to give the babies hugs!

Dance Class!!!!

There goes my cutie pie! All the girls look so cute!!!

Lily loves dance class so we thought we would enroll her 1 more time. This particular class only goes to 4 and Tinker loves her teacher...Ms. Kayla. I love watching dance class. There is absolutely nothing cuter than seeing little girls in tutu's hop and dance around!
I think the biggest reason Lily loves dance so much is the clothes...she loves to dress up! I am just so happy that she loves it!!!! Every week she asks..."Is today my dance class?" I say..."No..remember it is only on Saturdays."
