Valentines!

We decorated our bags for VValentine's Day! Aidan and Lily both filled out their valentines. Lily had to write her name 18 times. She did great! This is the first year that she filled them out by herself. Aidan was a pro this year! Wow...they are getting big!

DETERMINED!

Aidan is a child that is so determined! He sets his mind to do something and he just doesn't stop until he does it! This is how he was with taking his training wheels off, tieing his shoe, swinging a baseball bat without a tee, etc. It is amazing! His big gift for his birthday was a new bike. It is much bigger and has handle brakes. He loves it but it is quite a bit harder. As he told my mom and dad, "Well, at first it was hard but then I tried it and it was just a little bit hard. Then it was a little bit hard but I just keep trying. Now it is just a little bitty bit hard but I will get it." This all takes place in the course of a day. He won't stop until he gets it! He fell over at least a dozen times on the first day--it doesn't phase him! He has to use his tippy toes to get started but by golly he can do it! I am amazed by him sometimes! Proud but amazed!

~Aidan's 6th Birthday~

Aidan had his birthday party over the weekend! It was a blast. It ended up raining so a birthday bash at Pump It Up with family and friends was perfect! The kids ran around and played! Aidan and Lily has so much fun! We had the entire place to ourselves which made it extra nice!

~Look Who is 6!~

Today is Aidan's 6th birthday! The day started off with a new shirt, being serenaded by his family, phone calls from Nana and Pa Pa and Uncle Jay. I met Aidan for lunch at his school and brought him McDonald's. He was so excited to see me! I got to watch him play a few minutes at recess. It was cute to see him in action at school! He still gets to pass out treats at school, have a little celebration at Ms. Amy's, and then we will see what the night entails. Matt is on nights so I am not sure what we will do for dinner...but all in all..it has been a pretty great day so far!

~Weekend Fun~

Friday Night: We headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for pizza night!

Saturday: Me, Aidan and Lily headed to the Butterfly House for some fun! I read in my parents-as-teachers brochure that The Butterfly House was putting on a special event. It was a beach themed event (like Summer Fun in Winter time) with arts and crafts, face painting and games! Of course, we went in the Conservatory and looked at the butterflies. It was pretty fun! Tinker just loved it! We ended our trip with a carousel ride.

Sunday: Matt and I decided to take the kids to Blueberry Hill on the loop for lunch! It was lots of fun! We had some drinks, ate some yummy food and the kids played some games! All in all...it was a fun weekend!
